Question: Help needed! Our driver's digital tachograph card is stuck in the vehicle after a fault. Can they drive another vehicle with print-outs while we get it fixed?
Answer: No go on print-outs, I'm afraid! Since the card isn't lost or damaged yet, they can't drive on print-outs. The vehicle needs to go to a maintenance provider or tachograph centre to remove the card safely. 🛠️🚛
📝 If it turns out the card will be damaged upon removal, the driver needs a letter from the tachograph centre to confirm this. Then, they can apply for a new card and drive on print-outs for up to 15 days or until the new card arrives.
